Discover what makes Beyond Any Multiple such a superior supplement
For many of us taking multivitamins on a daily basis is an important part of
living a healthy lifestyle. It makes sense as multivitamins are a safe,
affordable, cost effective, easy to use and easy to understand product. If you
add to this the wealth of scientific evidence that supports their regular use as
a way of reducing the risk of developing certain chronic diseases such as heart
disease, it’s easy to see why they are so popular.
But how on earth do you know which multivitamin is right for you when there
are so many available to chose from nowadays? In reality, the answer to this
question couldn’t be simpler – Beyond Any Multiple is exactly that, a
multivitamin preparation that goes way beyond any other multivitamin on the
market. If you look at the ingredients that make up each Beyond Any Multiple
tablet, you’ll find that they contain all that you would expect to find in any
high end multivitamin preparation but you’ll also see that they contain
Tocotrienols, Resveratrol and Vitamin K2. And it’s the inclusion of these three
substances that makes Beyond Any Multiple really stand out from the crowd.
Let’s take a look at these three ingredients in more detail and you will
begin to see why they are so important to include in a Multivitamin product and
why, therefore, they make Beyond Any Multiple such a superior supplement:
Tocotrienols
Together with their more widely known counterpart Tocopherols, Tocotrienols
make up the vitamin E family of vitamins. Vitamin E is known to be a powerful
antioxidant. Antioxidants are natural biochemical substances that help to
protect cells (including the heart and blood vessels) against damage from
harmful free radicals.
Free radicals are highly unstable molecules that attack stable molecules in a
bid to stabilize themselves. Once stabilized, the molecule that has been
attacked becomes a free radical itself and so a whole chain reaction is begun
that can ultimately lead to cell and tissue damage. Antioxidants seek to
neutralize free radicals and put an end to such damaging chain reactions.
Unfortunately, we can’t avoid free radicals. Some are produced by our bodies
for example during normal metabolic processes. Others enter our bodies from
external sources such as cigarette smoke and pollution. But however they come
into existence, it’s incredibly important that we protect ourselves against free
radical damage especially in terms of aging. One of the main theories put
forward as to why we age is what is known as the ‘free radical theory of aging’.
This states that we age because cells accumulate free radical damage over time.
Certainly free radicals have been implicated in the development of heart disease
and some cancers.
And it’s here that Vitamin E family of vitamins can really help because they
represent some of the most efficient chain-breaking antioxidants available,
particularly Tocotrienols. Indeed, Tocotrienols have been found to be twice as
effective as Tocopherols when it comes to free radical protection.
And what’s more Tocotrienols, unlike Tocopherols, have protective benefits in
terms of cardio vascular health too. They work to lower overall total
cholesterol while at the same time specifically increase LDL cholesterol levels
(“good cholesterol”). This can only be good news for our cardio vascular systems
as high total cholesterol levels, and especially too much HDL (“bad
cholesterol”), can put us at increased risk of developing cardio vascular
problems such as arteriosclerosis, heart attack and stroke.
Tocotrienols have also been shown to confer anti-cancer properties. Indeed,
in some cancers, Tocotrienols may even assist in preventing the tumour growth.
With all these amazing benefits, the addition of Tocotrienols to Beyond Any
Multiple makes perfect sense.
Resveratrol
One of life’s great conundrums is something that is referred to as “the
French Paradox” i.e. why is that French people have significantly lower rates of
heart disease than Americans and yet they eat a diet that is typically high in
fat? The answer may lie in a naturally occurring antibiotic called Resveratrol.
Several different plants produce Resveratrol but most notably it is found in the
skin of red grapes which in turn means that it is found in concentrated amounts
in red wine.
Resveratrol is known to have a number of important health benefits, but it is
perhaps its potential for life extension that is the most exciting and certainly
it is for this reason that Resveratrol has been included in Beyond Any Multiple.
Adopting a calorie restricted diet is one of the most generally accepted ways
of achieving life extension possibly by as much as 1-2 decades. However, we’re
not talking here about going on a diet for a couple of months but permanently
eating 15-30% less food. For most of us such a diet would be impossible to stick
to. But such strict eating regimes do deliver significant benefits not just in
terms of extended life but also in terms of living healthier for longer. These
benefits include lower cholesterol and fasting insulin levels, higher levels of
mental focus, and increased endurance - all of which are maintained into old
age.
Research into calorie restricted diets has revealed that when a set of
normally inactive genes, known as sirtuins, are activated they trigger a
survival mechanism that can help fight off age related diseases, and possibly
extend life. But rather than submitting to the hunger of such a diet,
Resveratrol has been found to activate sirtuin genes in humans. In other words,
Resveratrol effectively mimics the results of a calorie restricted diet without
the need for actually being on such a diet. It doesn’t mean that you can eat
what you like, a healthy diet would still need to be followed, but it does mean
that we now have a real possibility of being able to significantly extend life
span without the need for severe calorie restriction and for that extended life
span to be one in which we remain healthy and active.
If you also factor in the fact that Resveratrol is known to have cardio
vascular health benefits, anti cancer properties and can stimulate and
regenerate nerve cells (which may help to stave off diseases like Parkinson’s
and Alzheimer’s), it’s obvious why Resveratrol should be included in Beyond Any
Multiple.
Vitamin K2
The final additional substance that appears in Beyond Any Multiple is Vitamin
K2. Whilst many multivitamins include Vitamin K1, only Beyond Any Multiple
includes Vitamin K2 as well. We are only just beginning to fully understand the
benefits of this amazing vitamin but what we do know is that amongst other
things, Vitamin K2 is both crucial to maintaining bone health and for the
prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Vitamin K2 works by helping to activate Vitamin K-dependent proteins within
the body. With regard to bones, Vitamin K2 activates the protein osteocalcin
which is needed to enable calcium to bind to bone mineral matrix, thus
strengthening the skeleton. This is vitally important for our health and well
being, particularly as we age and our risk of developing osteoporosis increases.
And helping to prevent osteoporotic fractures doesn’t just save the pain and
misery of nursing a broken bone, osteoporotic fractures lead to a whole host of
significant health problems including muscle weakness, bone deformity of the
spine, chronic pain, disability and loss of independence. They may even lead to
premature death.
Vitamin K2 is also crucial in the helping to prevent and possibly even
reverse a process known as arterial calcification. Arterial calcification, or
hardening of the arteries as it is more commonly known, is a key risk factor for
developing cardiovascular disease. If adequate levels of Vitamin K2 are
maintained then calcium is more likely to be kept in your bones and out of your
arterial walls, thus lowering the risk of vascular damage.
Even at this stage, when Vitamin K2 has not yet revealed all of its potential
benefits to us, its impact on bone health and the prevention of cardiovascular
disease, make it easy to see why it was an obvious and important choice to add
to Beyond Any Multiple.
So why take an ordinary multivitamin when you can take Beyond Any Multiple
which takes multivitamin supplementation to a whole new level.
