Crohn’s disease is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes problems with your intestines – either small or large, both can be involved. Tissues in these areas become swollen and inflamed, which in turn leads to problems such as fever, diarrhoea, pain, cramping, bloody stools and reduced appetite.
Chron’s disease is not always active but can flare at any time. Supplements designed to ease flare ups include low dose Naltrexone and Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA). It is also possible to try and minimise flare ups by using a food allergy kit to try and avoid foods that could make the problem worse.
