Non-melanoma skin cancer is a serious type of skin cancer, formed in the cells of the skin and can spread quickly. There are 2 types; the most common being basal cell carcinoma which affects the bottom epidermis cells, and squamous cell carcinoma which accounts for around 20-30% of non-melanoma skin cancer cases and affects the top epidermis cells. Both types can be deadly if not treated. Non-melanoma skin cancers appear as tumours/lumps on the skin that are discolored, flat or scaly.
Curaderm BEC5® cream has seen success as a non-invasive topical cream that kills only cancer cells when applied to the affected areas of the skin.
