Nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA) is a phenolic lignan – a group of phenolic compounds found in the creosote bush. It has long been used in traditional medicine to treat diseases and protect against free radical atoms. NDGA works to stop fatty acids being radicalized by free radical atoms.
