Tretinoin (also known as retinoic acid or retirides) is a cream or gel medication that can be used for the treatment of sun damaged skin and acne. Tretinoin (retirides) cream helps to improve the appearance of dark spots, fine lines and surface wrinkles on the skin, reducing the signs of aging.
Tretinoin works by irritating the skin and speeding up the life cycle of the skin cells, making them die faster so new and healthier skin cells can take place. Whilst it cannot erase deep wrinkles, it does help to improve surface wrinkles.
