Vegetable Cellulose is an insoluble fiber found in the cell walls of plants, fruits and vegetables. It is an essential dietary nutrient and has also been linked with having anti-inflammatory properties.
As vegetable cellulose is insoluble (cannot be dissolved), it is important we maintain it in healthy levels. It absorbs water, which means it can help with constipation problems but excessive levels can lead to bowel problems, particularly in people with histories of bowel issues.
