Vitamin B3 (also known as Niacin or Nicotinamide) is a water-soluble B vitamin that helps the body to convert carbohydrates into glucose, essential in the energy production process. It is rare to have a Vitamin B3 deficiency without an underlying health condition, genetic disorder or due to taking certain medications.
It is naturally found in many foods including bananas, chicken, red meat, rice, fish and nuts, and can also be boosted through supplementation.
