Aldosterone offers a natural treatment option for hearing loss and maintaining healthy blood pressure levels. Research has shown that aldosterone levels in the body play a direct role in how well we can hear, with inadequate levels linked to hearing loss. This is because Aldosterone regulates the levels of essential salts such as sodium and potassium, which are crucial to hearing loss. The inner ear is particularly sensitive to Aldosterone levels, and if these levels are not correct, this is often linked with the sensorineural hearing loss condition,
Aldosterone levels also play a part in the function of the antidiuretic hormone (adh), which regulates the uptake and use of water by the body. Adh levels and Aldosterone are inextricably linked as part of the delicate balance of salt and water in humans.
Hyperaldosteronism
The medical condition Hyperaldosteronism (aka Conns Syndrome) is directly impacted by the balance of aldosterone in the body. This is caused by too much aldosterone in the body which lowers potassium levels, leading to fatigue and high blood pressure. If left untreated, Hyperaldosteronism can lead to serious health problems including heart attack, kidney failure, stroke and premature death. It can present in children, although this is rare.
Age related hearing loss
Aldosterone levels are not the only contributing factor to hearing loss; this can also be caused by natural aging. Taking an aldosterone supplement alongside everyday precautions to safeguard hearing can help to prevent or even reverse the symptoms of age-related hearing loss.
Other causes of hearing loss
Other causes of hearing loss include AIED (autoimmune inner ear disease) and Meniere’s disease (this also causes vertigo, balance problems and tinnitus).
Sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus can cause problems with hearing at any age, including in children.

Is it better to take aldosterone as a liquid using AldoPro™ Liquid or in Tablet form?
Either delivery method will work effectively; aldosterone is absorbed orally or in the ear (liquid form only). Dr Wright used aldosterone orally in his research into aldosterone deficiency and hearing loss.
Contraindications or warnings
For most people Aldosterone therapy is well tolerated and should not pose problems. However, caution in using Aldosterone is recommended if a person has a tendency to swell easily in the hands, ankles and / or feet or who suffers from high blood pressure (hypertension). Patients who swell easily or who have high blood pressure should not take Aldosterone at all or, if they do, they should start on very low doses and then after ten days cautiously increase their daily dose if no contraindications appear.
