Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is made naturally in the body; it is a fatty acid that helps to protect the cells whilst providing anti-inflammatory and pain relief effects. Cell protection is given by PEA against mechanical damage, inflammatory response damage or damage caused by lack of oxygen.
